This movie was ok, but I thought the plot and characters could have been developed more. It stars Nicolas Cages as Cris Johnson, a Las Vegas magician known as Frank Cadillac, who can see two minutes into his future. He can only see his own future and only two minutes except when it comes to a mysterious girl played by Jessica Biel. He sees her entering the diner he frequents, but it is much farther into the future as he waits for every day until she appears. The movie also stars Julianne Moore as an FBI agent trying to get Cris to come and help her locate a missing Russian nuke that has been brought into the country. Her only problem is that he doesn't want to become her science project, and can easily avoid her because he sees two minutes into his future. The movie sort of jumps into all this only giving a bit of background on Cage's characters. We don't know too much about the girl (Biel) except that she is avoiding her ex and offers to drive Cage to Flagstaff after her crazed ex punches him. I found this ridiculous...she offers to give a ride to a complete stranger, a man she doesn't know. Oh, she does tell him she'll kick him out if she starts to get a psycho vibe and asks him if he is one. I found that part of the movie dumb. Also the terrorist nuke plot could have been explained better; it's almost like we jump into the middle of it. I will say that the ending is unexpected. It's a bit of a twist and does leave you wondering what is going to happen. This movie was ok. Lots of action, but the characters and story could have been developed more. It was an interesting concept, but could have been better.
