I thought this was a wonderfully made movie. The scenery, characters, etc. are very vivid. This movie is based on the Book by C.S. Lewis. I read the book several years ago and thought the movie did a great job, although I'm sure there were some differences. The book is very good to, and I would recommend it. This movie is about four siblings, Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy. They are sent to live with an old professor is his huge mansion in the country after the bombing of London in WWII. One day while playing hide and seek Lucy discovers a huge wardrobe that transports her to a magical land once she passes through the back of it. This is Narnia where the terrible White Witch has taken over and it has been winter for 100 years. Lucy has trouble convincing her siblings of her discovery, but soon they all end up in Narnia. They meet interesting characters like the fawn, Mr. Tumnus, and the beavers. Also, there is Aslan the powerful lion with a good heart. The children learn of a prophecy that two sons of Adam and two daughters of Eve will come to save Narnia and become queens and kings. The children do not believe this at first. What will become of Narnia? Will the White Witch continue to rule? Can and will the children help? Will they ever return home through the wardrobe? This was a great movie, good for families, although there is some violence. I really enjoyed this movie. It's very visual with all the interesting creatures that live in Narnia and the beautiful scenes. I would recommend this as a great movie to watch.
