This movie is based on the true story of Vince Papale, played by Mark Wahlberg. When the Philadelphia Eagles holds an open tryout for any guy off the street, Vince is the only one who makes the cut. Things aren't going so great in his life, and his friends at the bar where he works convince him to go. Greg Kinnear plays coach Dick Vermeil, Elizabeth Banks also costars as Vince's love interest. The movie follows Vince through some hardships in his life living in Philadelphia. The thing that he and his friends love the most is the Eagles. When Vince makes it onto the team there dreams come true. This movie was ok. I think the characters could have been developed better and the story line could have gone deeper. It seemed like it just brushed the surface. I would watch it on TV, but there are better, more inspiring football movie out there like Remember the Titans and Rudy. It is interesting because it is based on a true story, so they should have had a lot to work with to make it a better movie.
