I thought this was a very good movie. It had an interesting plot with an original story line. It stars Hayden Christiansen as Clayton Beresford, Jr. and Jessica Alba as Sam, his girlfriend. Clayton has a heart condition and is waiting for a transplant. He is one of the most powerful businessmen in New York, his mother adores him, and he keeps his fiancee a secret from her because Sam is her secretary. This movie is nothing like I thought it would be from the previews. I think that is great because all too often now you watch a preview and have seen all the important parts of the movie. There are many twists and turns along the way. In this movie Clayton finally has a heart and rushes to the hospital. His mother tries to convince him to use the top heart surgeon, but he is set on using his surgeon and friend, played by Terrence Howard. Once under anethesia Clayton experiences anesthetic awareness where he cannot move or speak, but can hear and feel everything that goes on. While under he hears the sinister plot by the doctors to kill him. The movie follows him as he leaves his body to look again at the experiences at the past few days to look for clues that he didn't see the first time around. Why would his friend want to kill him? Will he be able to wake up or die on the operating table? What about the new anesthesiologist, because his original one is sick, who was not one of the doctors in on the plan? Will his mother be able to save him? Will his new wife discover the plot? Watch this movie. It is done very well and has many unexpected twists and turns.
