Paris, je t'aime Movie Review by movieviewr
Paris, je t'aime (or “Paris, I Love You” in English) is a short film collection featuring the talents of twenty one international filmmakers in eighteen segments which showcase the various regions and neighborhoods that make up the incredible city of Paris. The project started as an idea from French television director Tristan Carné. He enlisted the support of producers Emmanuel Benbihy and Claudie Ossard, who were then able to recruit German filmmaker Tom Tykwer. With Tykwer on board, the Coen brothers agreed to sign on as well and with that the list of filmmakers began to grow.
The incredible catalog of talent includes Alfonso Cuarón, Gérard Depardieu, Richard LaGravenese, Alexander Payne, Isabel Coixet, Wes Craven, Gus Van Sant… and the list goes on and on. Paris, je t'aime has played to generally favorable reviews and was featured as an official selection in both the Cannes and Toronto Film Festivals.
