The Simpsons Movie Review
I just received the Simpsons DVD for Christmas and was excited to see it. I had heard that it was so funny and that I just had to see it. Let me start by saying, I have not been a big fan of the Simpsons in recent years. I think there first 5 or so years were there best, and have been going down hill lately. Well this movie was just like watching an episode, some funny moments but not worth going to the theater to see. They could have just as easily showed this as 4 continued episodes on free tv. The drawings were exactly the same as a normal episode, no cgi or update for the big screen. Lets get to the basic of the movie. While sitting in church Grandpa Simpson has a prophesy that only Marge takes seriously. As the pieces of the prophecy start to fall in place, Marge gets worried. Lisa goes around trying to get Springfield to clean up there pollution and finally gets the town to pitch in. Homer and Bart are well, Homer and Bart. After everything is cleaned up Homer dumps Spider pig waste into the river. Spider pig is Homers pet pig that provides some good laughs. The EPA and President Schwartzeneger have to step in and stop Springfield from polluting the entire county. A dome is placed over Springfield and everyone wants to go after Homer, as he is responsible. The Head of the EPA overcome with power does everything to destroy Springfield and not let anyone else know about what happened. You will have to watch it to know the rest. If you are a huge Simpsons fan you will love it, if you are not you will think its an ok movie. I was not really impressed.
